Objective of the Course.
To provide participants with the knowledge and service skills which are necessary to provide a top quality wine and beverage service.
- WSET Level 1 Award in Wine
For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
Harriet Tindal has been teaching WSET courses since 2005 when she became a Programme Provider in East Anglia before returning to Ireland where she heads up Education at Tindal Wine Merchants. Having completed all the WSET qualifications including the Diploma in 2008, Harriet is now immersed in the final stages of her Master of Wine (MW) studies with just the research paper to complete. Recognising the need to bring her subject alive, real life stories taken from her many trips to wine regions across the globe, are integrated into the courses.
No previous experience of Wine Tasting is necessary to register on this course.
