Declan Taite – Managing Director
Declan Taite is a managing director in the Corporate Finance practice, based in the Dublin office. Declan leverages more than 25 years of corporate restructuring and debt advisory experience assisting leading financial institutions and state agencies in Ireland with ensuring the survival and continuation of viable businesses and delivering solutions that are acceptable to all parties.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Declan was a Restructuring and Insolvency Partner at RSM Farrell Grant Sparks. Before that, he worked in the Restructuring and Insolvency department at Deloitte Ireland.
Declan is recognized as one of Ireland’s leading insolvency practitioners. He has acted as receiver, liquidator and examiner in nearly 500 corporate cases in the past 25 years. His notable clients have included Bernard McNamara Group of Companies, Vantive Holdings & Morston Investments (Zoe Group), Muckross Park Hotel, and as receiver to worldwide assets of certain Sean Quinn family members. Declan’s sectoral expertise includes property and development, hospitality, manufacturing and retail.
Declan is a founding member and former chairman of The Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (UK) and INSOL Europe. He is a regular commentator in the national media and at seminars on corporate recovery and insolvency.
Anne O’Dwyer – Managing Director
Anne O’Dwyer is a managing director in the Dublin office and is responsible for the overall management of trading appointments. Anne is a key financial analyst with responsibility for the preparation and completion of financial reviews, financial monitoring and Independent Business Reviews (IBRs).
Having come from an auditing background Anne brings her extensive experience in providing accounting, advisory and restructuring services to a broad range of clients. Her sectoral expertise includes construction, retail, financial services, hotel and leisure and health.
This knowledge and experience, together with key skills, including attention to detail, a methodical approach to assignments and astute analytical skills enable Anne to produce timely critical reports to offer optimal decision making capabilities for both lenders and stakeholders of companies in distress.
Anne has advised a number of financial institutions, state agencies and companies on strategic restructuring options. She has also led a large number of formal recovery and insolvency assignments to include Mount Carmel Hospital, Ritz Carlton – Powerscourt, Michael McNamara & Company and Belmayne Ireland Limited.
Anne is a Chartered Accountant and a Committee Member of The Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners. She is also a member of INSOL Europe.
